Community Blue Christmas
at Coal City United Methodist Church

The holidays are not always cheery for those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one, facing life separation, coping with the loss of a job or facing health issues. It is a season of nostalgia and festive gatherings, but when life hits us hard, those cheery sentiments only bring us further down.

If this describes you this season, we encourage you to join us for a Blue Christmas service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road in Coal City. With music, scripture, prayer and a timely message, we will create a sacred space for all who are struggling with dark times. This service is open to everyone. Come as you are and hold on to hope.
